About Us
Our roots in the insurance industry date back over 80
years. What is now Pacific Diversified Insurance actually began from
two agencies in Morgan Hill and Gilroy. In 1920 V.O. Edes established
Edes Insurance in a small garage in Morgan Hill, CA. This business was
then transferred to M.E. Link and became Link Insurance in 1949. In
1980 the agency was purchased by Bill and Barry Link, who carry on the
strong tradition of unsurpassed customer service.
Just 15 miles south in Gilroy, CA. County Supervisor Art Brown opened the
Brown Agency in 1935. Firman Voorhies purchased the Brown Agency in 1948
and was joined by George Parrish in 1958. In 1972 Steve Hussar joined and
then Jon Voorhies came on board in 1976 and the Agency became Voorhies,
Parrish, & Hussar.
In 1998 these two well known community agencies joined forces and located
in Gilroy, CA. as Voorhies, Parrish, Hussar & Link. In 2002 the
firm expanded into the Bay Area with the purchase of API Insurance Services
of Campbell, CA. Along with this acquisition came new partner Tim
Lenihan. In January 2003, we expanded into the field of employee
benefits with the merger of Dave Villar’s agency, Pacific Diversified. We
also chose this as our new namesake. Finally, in early 2004 we acquired
the Sandy Rose Agency in Hollister, CA.
We are growing in a controlled manner with three locations and 40+ employees.
We are licensed to transact insurance in 15 states and directly represent
over 50 of the best insurance companies available today.
